10-10-2011 8:17 am Another beautiful picture from our balcony of Lanai Island early in the morning. |
Road trip day, went off to the north of Lahaina to explore.
Stopped at Ka'anapali Beach.
We visited the Whalers Village Shopping Center, very nice shops and the Whaler Museum. It really was the best museum that we went to, it was very interesting. They had displayed a lot of the letters that the men wrote home about actually being on the whaling ships and the whaler's life. One I'd go back to.
Had lunch at Leilani's with Ocean view, beach side. I loved their cold chicken sandwich probably the best of anything I ate in Maui.
The beach there has view of Lana'i and Moloka'i Islands. Just a little farther north is the Black Rock ( Pu'u Keka's) they have a nightly cliff diving ceremony.

10-10-2011 The Kaanapali Beach is 4 miles long and one of Maui's best beaches, with grainy gold sand. We did see a turtle here swimming...but he was camera shy. |

10-10-2011 When we left the WhalerVillage Shopping Center we went North and found a little drive that took us on the North side of Black Road. |
10-10-2011 This was very pretty and had a lot less people here. |
10-10-2011 It was probably still considered Ka'anapali Beach, but I'm not sure. |
