We had lunch in Hana, the part of Hana we saw was not very developed. I'm thinking that that is why it is the part of Maui that the rich and famous have vacation homes. It is not easy to get there by car and their homes can be nestled away from prying eyes.

10-6-2011 2:45 pm on the way to the Haleakala National Park. |
10-6-2011 Here we are at the Haleakaka Nation Park and the Ole'o Gulch, on the rain-shrouded eastern flanks of Haleakala, where the we find the "Seven Sacred Pools. There are actually 24, and all water in Hawaii is considered sacred so.... |
10-6-2011 Walking to the pools. |
10-6-2011 And the rocks were slippery from the rain and a little muddy, the currents, I wasn't too concerned with...I wasn't going swimming, intentionally anyway. |
10-6-2011 But as you can see, lots of people swimming in the Seven Sacred Pools. |

10-6-2011 Now imagine you are riding in that jeep......don't look down...don't look down! |
10-6-2011 Nice person asked to take our picture standing on the edge of the cliff...woops..where did Carol go.....no, she didn't fall, she wouldn't get that close to the edge..I did. |
